Clay's first fight of 1962, his first in New York City (in the old Madison Square Garden, no less) and his first trip to the canvas. Banks caught him with a left hook and dropped him in the first round. In a show of poise that would be repeated many times in his career, Clay got up and won the fight handily. KO4.
